The most authentic characterful town I’ve seen in America: Downieville. Got to go do an epic make you feel like life’s worth living type ride there this afternoon - the cross country course for next weekend’s Downieville Classic. It wasnt in the plan. A spontaneous phone call and 30min on I was packed and set to roll. Memorable; them bone shaking descents and jaw dropping vistas.
10:15pm - Monday night. Morning swim on the far side of horizontal time ended by 6:00am scheduled Kings of Leon. I am uninspired to write, yet so inspired to express. Phil Liggett is on the far side of the living room commentating through a Lance Armstron recap/buildup for the Grand Tour’s start this weekend. I had too much. Ben and Jerry’s that is - Pistachio Pistachio and Karamel Sutra - justified by the rest day emotions after a 32hour week - a rarity for my procrastinating self.

Josiah Middaugh was first and has climbed in second on XTERRA CUP SERIES STANDINGS, pushing Dan into third position on the list.
