Ruth and I spent the Easter weekend with my family at Langebaan up the West Coast. The flickr set shows Bundi (named in honour of Silvio Bundi), the new Ridgeback puppy / watch dog to be, Nico Pfitzemaier – a German Xterra athlete who mastered slalom skiing on his first weekend, my middle sister Nici’s latest painting, and some of the usual pits and pieces.
When catching up with Amber this week who’s just arrived from Reno, Nevada, a stone’s through from Truckee (Wikipedia) where Ruth and I will be based in four weeks time for 7 weeks, she enquired when we were heading over. In response to our 23rd April answer she insisted we shoud go skiing…

I was fortunate enough to have my mother doing ‘learn-to-swim’ classes when I was a toddler in a 25m pool built at our back door in that I could swim the four strokes by age five (more…)
