If only he wouldn’t set it as high? My friend and inspiration source won his 7th Xterra Series crown this past weekend after placing 2nd at the Series Final in Ogden’s Snow Basin in Utah. Seven series wins goes a long way to reflect his holistic health and longevity approach to life and sport balancedwith his fierce determination to remain on top and etch his renown for all time. Big admiration for Stoltz.

Received an email from a friend yesterday requesting an updated post to relieve his ‘hanging by a thread’ – evidently a dghugo.com faithful. So this randomized week’s worth of couped expression may be a little messy, but that would be reflective of the week. And considering this is my second hour at Durban Airport Spur, my inspiration is mellow like the rainy weather which suppressed the shoot today. So this is for Partick, and the others interested in finer detail. If you’re like me and more into visuals and scan read posts, sit tight till later in the week.
It came down to two contrasting opportunities:
1.) Rushing form after two weeks of severe flu, which left three weeks to the Xterra USA Final, and four weeks there after to the Xterra World Championships in Maui – the two events I had planned to return to the USA for.
2.) Stay home, start a long 8month base block, with two cycles focusing on some specific objectives which I know to be keeping me from optimal performances.
