Apologies for the current hiding – dare I defend my innocence more than usual – it has been consequence to the talent in Boulder. Daily I’m on the wrong side of an ABC on professionalism by some superstar which, after sulking and piecing a shattered ego back together with adhesive from the fridge in the form of frozen dairy, leaves insufficient energy to blog, buy new earplugs or on occasion brush my teeth.

My TriathlonTeam.org team mate in Denmark, Aleksandar Sørensen-Markovic, combined a cancer campaign (video) with his Challenge Copenhagen race efforts. I am really moved by his drive to go beyond being an athlete. His initiative was well received, which included campaigning for the inaugural race number “1″ at the Challenge, especially online. Small web start-ups have exponential potential with viral media these days. As a local Aleks raced to his best and went 8:31 in 9th. But its the campaign that stands out to me and is in-line with the free soul I’ve gotten to know in Stellenbosch over the past two summers.
So that previous posted did need editing – sorry about that. A friend gave me grief for not finishing the race report and leaving him “hanging”, which I take as positive indication of good story trumping good editing… Here is the rest:
