“Everything but the kitchen sink” (ben and jerry’s)

Posted on by Dan Hugo

Been a great week back in thin Sierra Nevada air – settling training and bio-rhythms after 10days on the Midwest trail. It will take most of the 10days here to adapt to the lessened oxygen effect before heading North to Idaho next Thursday. More exciting back home was the finalizing of a new dreamGiver in Tropitone Sun Block, and another cover in SportsGuide.

I am tremendously excited at the opportunity to work for and with Tropitone over the next few years. One of the upsides to training as a day job is time in the sun – so its a treat being backed by the leader in sun protection for sports enthusiasts.

Had some fun back on the Truckee Trails this week with Stoltz joining coach Gary and myself. Weather is incredibly good with moderate temperatures, no wind, blue skies…

Starting to lift my gaze to the second part of the year and beyond. Thoughts at the moment: Cancel the 8th Xterra on the USA Cup Series, get home a little earlier. Enjoy racing in the Jeep Multisport Series, and possibly the Imana Wild Ride (please Bex?) before doing a two and a half week three race stint in Europe (with more success than last year’s) in August. Investigating the possibilities and viabilities for now.

My travels next week this time start out North near the Canadian border. From there an overnight flight to the East coast for a stop in Richmond, before a midway return in Arkansas and then finally back in Truckee. It’ll be a tricky time to stay rested and sharp, so hoping to get good work done over the next week and then preserver from there.
