Killing time between reading Maui tweets in total suspense. Will take a while to fall asleep tonight. Come on Stoltz.
Here is more Brian brilliance, from some time ago. Hope you’ll laugh as much as I did. I luckily could edit this email of his a little, for the benefit of us both…
“Now that was good stuff. Of all the characterizations that describe our misadventures with women I have always liked the fishing anology best. The quest is simple; throw out lots of lines of different test, lots of baits and lures, troll, yo-yo, fly line, and if nothing bites move to a different spot. Never take it personally. Remember that even the most inept fisherman hooks a trophy now and then if he spends enough time on the water and even the best fisherman hooks a junk fish now and then too. I am not even near a body of water, so a fish cannot even jump in the boat, but you my young angler seem to be landing enough game for the both of us.
My highest prized gamefish in the hunt, fight, and taste is known by several names: Dorado (Mexico); Dolphin (Eastern USA); and Mahi Mahi (Western USA and Hawheyieee). I wonder what you call it in South Africa? During the fight the fish is known for acrobatics and flashing brilliant gold, green, and blue. When super fresh the taste is unparalleled. But be warned, once boated this pelagic flash dancer spoils rapidly so it is best tossed on ice and consumed soon after the catch. You will be wise to keep this in mind whenever you troll the waters for exotic species. Wow, I am kinda like the old man and the sea, returning in my little wooden boat with nothing but a Marlin head, as if my story would dispense some special insight or wisdom. Anyway Dan, the lasting image of any good fish tale is a PHOTOGRAPH OF YOU NEXT TO YOUR TROPHY. Next time I expect to see an attached file…
I don’t know whether to be flattered by your concern for my safety or insulted by your insinuation that I am too feeble to pace an Enduro through it’s full range of motion. Hmmmm, which interpretation shall I choose? My guess is that Specialized is more motivated on the 30% price break offer with regard to their 2009 inventory and not their 2010 inventory, but it never hurts to ask.”
