Garmin emailed last week asking for my sizes. Seemed a little orb but explained in response as a small fashion insert needed for the Garmin Tribe Magazine publication – a print run of 10 000 and a digital copy to 170 000. Needless to say I hardly know my height, let along inseem, collar, chest and all sorts of other specs. Dependent on Ben and Jerry intake and fluctuational influences. Anyhow, ignorance is bliss; little did I know what I was getting into.

I got to sport that revolutionary new 310 XT (you need one) with some strong sporty portraits in the morning. The crew were great and much enjoyed working with them. The images may be used in some print media, but specifically point of sale for the sports side of Garmin’s distribution. So please go throw tomatoes at my smuck at Sportman’s Warehouse and Totalsports stores around the country – as well as buying a 310 XT on checkout…
Hereafter I got whisked off to a recording studio – to read to one liners:
Hi, I’m Dan Hugo.
Welcome to South Africa. I hope you will enjoy our continent.
And
Hi, I’m Dan Hugo.
Welcome to South Africa. I hope you enjoy our magnificent scenery.
Now you might think I passed with straight A’s, which is half true, and that I can read out loud, which again, is half true. The problem is being in a lonely little room, but having to pretend to address a nation. Sounded more like I was trying to impress some girl at the bar. Which may not be a bad thing? And the 4.6second time limit is tricky. They thought playing back my recording to me would help settle me, but they were wrong… I need to go to voicing school. Soon.
The clip may be played when foreigners load maps during the 2010 world cup period.
Back to the shoot studio through impressive highway expansions that is crippling traffic flow all also for the 2010 preparations, for what was now becoming apparently more than I bargained for…

The theme was “firsts”. Simple enough: First glance. First date. First kiss. First fight. Like most my relationships? Considering my stunning Cosmo Cover girl opposite, the first three would be semi natural I figured. Until they want to take a photo of such an emotion better left surpressed. In a matter of feeting moments I was so far out my comfort zone I couldn’t keep a blush down or a poker faced stare. Mmm. Sasha was incredibly gorgeous and made each photo. So photogenic its unreal.
It was a treat. I loved it in fact. How could I not? And you wont believe the real photo’s. I was innocently under orders… In the mean time: Flickr Set.

After reading the text I still don’t get what these images have to do with a GPS devise; however, I wholly endorse the content. Keep up the good work!
