I’ve started an initiative DGHugo.com/inStellenbosch – and announce with total excitement and plenty local pride that I’ve started an association with Greengate Deli and Eatery. Greengate is a unique, in Stellenbosch only, cozi little deli serving a fresh and completely healthy daily buffet. I’d gladly have you join for a lunch… I’ll be @ Greengate.
I am really grateful at the practical side of being able to dish a nutritious plate of “home-cooked” food daily and believe this will be forming the basis of my nutrition. I’ve been struggling of late, and dropping this all import ball in the athlete lifestyle. So much so I even went for some blood tests last week (been procrastinating the results). The time and energy saving alone would be considerable, and on top thereof is the value in the spread and variety and quality of products used in the dishes prepared at Greengate.
Its a trendy spot, with a great feel of high energy to it, yet its complete as a calming experience. Many of the “dik nekke” (heavey weights) frequent Greengate for a daily fix. So too students from campus one block on. And then numerous athletes, local and international, all in the hunt for the premium ingredients Ingrid and her staff prepare. For the social side of daily lunch @ Greengate, I’m equally enthusiastic.
Its a momentus opportunity for myself to stay connected with the local community of my home town – to support their enterprise and in turn, be supported by them.
I trust you’ll enjoy Greengate becoming a part of daily life, in the blogging thereof, and hopefully through supporting Greengate yourself. But unrivalled would be to have you accompany me there… So cheers to that.
