Heading to Xterra West Championships - Temecula

20min before Ruth and I are fetched by our lift, Emma, for our drive down through most of California to Temecula where the first of my races here the United States is held. I think I’ve packed most things… Done a bit of pilates this morning with Gia, to loosen up the lower back and legs, and got out with Gia and Gary for my last little bit of altitude training’s worth of 30min jog. Legs felt great. Will be wearing my 2XU tights on the travel, 10hours worth, and hoping to arrive feeling good tonight.

My last proper session was on the Specialized Epic yesterday, high up on the 06 road: 5×3′ with 2′ spin in between. Here are some of the shots from the outing. Plenty fun, laughs, bridge crossings, snow crossings, and fine single track on the way home.

Will write more in the next day on my prep for the race. Feeling great though, and really excited to see where the engin has evolved to here at altitude.
