Moments – some seem lazy to rush, others fly by, some moments startle and others ease.
A miss South African finalist had me on the awkward back foot – having to drape my arms around her, look natural and affectionate all before I could recall her name – well that be a frightening moment. When she asked when I first had the opportunity to shoot with Jeep Apparel, and I said November 2006, both were equally stunned. How time has moved by? How Jeep Apparel have stayed faithful in partnership with my dream?

Flew up on Sunday night after the Garmin West Coast Warm Water Weekend, and returned Tuesday night, spending two days at the Salt Rock Hotel and two nights with Family Grant. A family gracious in commuting, feeding and housing a restless soul.
Two days with three co-models, and 10 crew. Not very subtle on the beachfront! Or alongside the restaurant. Don’t know if I’ll ever not notice the stares of the public. In fairness I was staring too. The location was different, summer range of clothing with a blue sky beach feel. Gusting wind tested sense of humour and stylist skill. Else twas a great gig.
Got to pretend surfer boy for a while, with the coolest retro long board. Will source an image of that shot and frame it I reckon. The closest I’ll ever get…
Models were gorgeous yes, but stylist and makeup artist again were my favourite. Beauty is from within. Being comfortable with self from inner joy. Not the first time I’ve been schooled in this lesson.
Live without limits – Couldn’t agree more.
