This was the first stop to the wine tour by Tom – Chateau Margene. Since Tom is a member here were got to sample some reserve bottles. On the hillside is a walnut orchard which I got to taste too. The photo is taken from within the tasting centre. Bit strange not show the vineyards, but I quite liked this view.
The classic mess when living out of a bag. Between swim bike and run gear to last a few weeks there is not much space for luxuries. Clothing on repeat out here.

I find this totally inspiring – Tom’s Vegetable Garden. Since retiring six years ago Tom has taken to numerous new hobbies turned passions, one of which is the love of fine wine, together with home cooking which is best done with your own perfectly tendered to ingredients. Apparently just a month back this space was covered with the last of the winter snow.
Tom’s Roses – well, must keep the missus pleased too.
From the outside there was little telling that there was a wine tasting going on. Its literally just the shed. To be sure, they now out a rocking sound system on the outside which hints at life on the inside. But its not until you open a suspect maroon door that you see it all. Raw and real. I liked it plenty. And the wines were phenomenal.
And eventually on to Boulder where spring has flawed my visual appetite. Entire trees of blossoms. Even are lawn seems more like the namaqualand daisies?! Really great to be back in the house. We’re six pax on three separate levels.
Ah yes, there she is. This is after the blanket got lifted in the garage and a proper wipe down. Rolling in style I am. Think I have five grocery packets and swim bag on there earlier today. One in the seat, one in the backpack, one between my legs, two on either wrist. A bit of Africa in Boulder I’d say.
Our Flatirons view from the porch. The Chautauqua Park starts right by our corner. So too Flagstaff hill. Amazing location.
Pretty amazing no? Built both this past week. The 29er Epic and 29er HT.
Chili like a lilly after my Sunday run. The run off is from melting snow. I know this as I can see snow all across the back of the Rockies. And well, it felt like it, and a nipple stand quickly followed.
The culinary delight of the week: Homemade Gluten Free garlic bread, baked by Shelby and ate by Dan…
