Well, apologies for that then. Although me best mate believes a computerless-Dan is an earlier to bed more simplified version of the regular procrastinating one, I have been struggling without for three weeks, and still dont have mine functional. My boarder master Shelby, has sent me off with her MacBook Air. Kindness that best be reciprocated with some blogging… With an hour to spare, free Wifi, and a guilty conscious, here is some news and such.

Five weeks in Boulder and its starting to feel like home away from home. Slowly integrating the social triathlon niche, slowly getting accustomed to the crisp thin air, figuring which isle contains the quinoa at Sprouts, and many of the other detail that challenge the homely feeling. I am yet to find the best roastery in town, partly because the scooter is hesitant of highways and the north Boulder seems to be where the good beans hide. But this is nothing against the scooter. Much like in Avatar, we are now mated for life. The fight was not as edgy as that of the clif heights, but we had a few close calls on the wrong side of the road…
I am still due for a race report on Xterra Beaver Creek despite it being an experience best forgotten with urgency. Perhaps you would relate if, for comparison sake, you are expecting apple crumble for desert and instead get served expired custard, thats gone hard, but must be consumed. It was messy at best and I never was in the race, finishing 8th and a long way down. It took a few days to recover from the hyperventilation above 9000ft and the consequent disappointment, but the block of work since has been steady and motivating.
Which in part explains my enthusiasm to get down to sea level this week. Hoping it comes good at least… Either way, should be a good measure of where form is at. The race is on the Brazil coastline, Saturday morning, 10am. As declared in March, X3M produce the best show and I’m really grateful for another opportunity to be a part of it.

We’ve had some really fun times at the house. Shelby and William the Royal have lost control of their home to my uncanny hunger and well, Courtenay’s habbit of decorating rooms with half empty (or full) glasses of water. Mostly we’re one happy family though, depending on the state of the fridge.

Thankfully boarding has started and my guilty conscious has eased. Hope this convinces you that I have settled well and am building to a strong second half of the season, starting with a ripper in Brazil this weekend.
