Making sushi in celebration

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

We had plenty reason to celebrate last night: 2nd in Temecula. Ruth’s support of and patience with me. Gary’s fine programs and guidance. Gia’s grace for those programs being written on Sunday night. To name but the first few.

photo from Xterra photos
20min before Ruth and I are fetched by our lift, Emma, for our drive down through most of California to Temecula where the first of my races here the United States is held. I think I’ve packed most things… Done a bit of pilates this morning with Gia, to loosen up the [...]

Long mountain bike ride on Emigrant Trail, and long run on The Rubicon Trail

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Such a great weekend of training. Body feeling good and all senses stimulated and inspired by the terrain covered. Gary and I rode and ran together this weekend, through breath taking forests, over mounds of frozen ice (sometimes in it) and got to see sights worth travelling for.

Have  a look at this website with great photo’s of the insane mountain bike ride I did today. Mind blowing single track - something like 3hours of it. My concentration was shot, as it just kept coming and coming and demanding more and more. I am without broken bones, so this mtb ride went significantly better than [...]

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

When catching up with Amber this week who’s just arrived from Reno, Nevada, a stone’s through from Truckee (Wikipedia) where Ruth and I will be based in four weeks time for 7 weeks, she enquired when we were heading over. In response to our 23rd April answer she insisted we shoud go skiing…

Trainingpeaks.com - my weblog training site

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

Thought to show the website through which Gary coaches me and through which I log my training data. We subscribe to a online software company called trainingpeaks. Its works really well with my Garmin Forerunner 305. The Garmin uploads easily through a ‘device uploader’, at the click of a few buttons, and presents Gary with [...]
