Paul Roos - Big Brag 2007
August 17th, 2007 by Dan HugoWas asked to address my pride and honour, my Maroon almamater this morning, in a spirit building tradition before the big interschool’s meet of the year. Such a pleasure and treat speaking to 1000 amped lads, prepared to do battle against Bloemfontein’s Grey College.
Rugby is the main focus, but field hockey, waterpolo, mountain biking, chess, debating, tennis, biathle, are all in the mix this weekend. Years and generations of pride is at stake.
Got a call last night from an old friend, who sat in Grey Bloem more than 35 years ago. I reckon he was nervous, calling from New Zealand. But time will tell.
Either way, did what I could to instill that last bit of fire and aggression for the weekend. Even got into an old blazer for the occasion.
