Pre-race breakfast

Race starts at a luxurious 12, and so breakfast has been relaxed and entertaining with all the various nationalities here at the lodge, each with their own ritual and preferences. Some full cooked English, some croissants and nutella, some Pepsi on the side…

Off to briefing in a few moments, which is at T2. Then we all mission some 5km to the swim start. Should be interesting. Weather is upside down today, raining as cold as. I dont know whether its cold enough to wear anything extra on the bike, not that I have anything as an option, but doubt I would. Its just too hard to wear something for the 10km climb and the descent…

So here goes, first race in Europe. Will post as soon as I can. Thanks for all the support.
