So I prepared thinking of apples, and I should have been thinking pears. What a steep learning expense. Between 200 2Oceans running females and a couple hundred kids, I’m taking notes on how to prepare more specifically. I loved the experience today, at Laerskool Stellenbosch, and love that I could be a part of their health week. But these kids were far harder to captivate than ever imagined. I knew I’d have to go in simple, visual, and definitive, but I was off by a country mile. Should perhaps have taken some actual objects, like fruit, nuts, mcDonalds wrapper, etc. I dont know. Even if they just grasped more water, pure water, or connected the dots between food consumption and healthy skin, I’d be contented. Feel like I need another go at it…
But when all was said and done – these kids werent in doubt. They love their chocolate, can do all the playing they want at break time, and life is simply too good to be true. I want to be like them.

Emma says you were good and she learnt something. They loved you! Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Thanks Lizel. Just think I could have made a bigger impact, feel I need a second shot at it, that kind of thing. But I realise its probably layer apon layer, and we hope it makes a difference in their perspective growing up.
Did enjoy them and the moment a great deal. Glad they did too.
Hopefully they’ll want to eat a rainbow…
