I can only imagine New Zealand and Brazil being able to match the Xterra turnout this weekend. Stillwater Sports – management responsible for Xterra South Africa – closed entries on Monday at 1300 entrants! I am so blown and proud to be a part of the Xterra community here. I think slightly more in the Xterra Lite, but almost a 50-50 share. And believe the growth in the Lite is reflective of the new personalities taking note of the lifestyle.
Today was stunning, the routes are marked and set for a grand finale. The finish, transition and hospitality areas were taking shape too. I’ve been at international events where no infrastructure was visible till late the night before. Such class and trend here. Big up to the Stillwater Team, and the brands that have backed the sport over the past years. Seems the momentum has finally reached that critical point. So excited for it.
Xterra TV launches soon as well, South Africa broadcasting international Xterra productions, 1 per month. Dont know too much, will post as when I do. A significant cue for Xterra.
