Great fun yesterday. Nearly 600 entrants across five events enjoying Natal’s immunity to winter while covering tracks in the Albert Falls Game Reserve and paddling across glassy waters. 5km trail, 20km, 5km (try stay upright) paddle.

Of the more exciting bits were three ‘choose your route’ sections on the bike. Strange going along not knowing whether left was faster… But plenty thrills out on Rhino singletrack.

Most exciting was the level of the youngsters coming through. Two 18 year olds were 2nd and 3rd. For the first time I felt like the ‘old has been’!

Full Results, short report, and photo’s at maxcluer.com.

Out of time and need to start the commute to Durban International. Will post some more later on, and even put the Garmin data on. Garmin were in full support of the event, which is brilliant. Should have some more photo’s later on too.
