Cape Town - Residents of the western parts of the Western and Northern Cape provinces were warned to brace for severe weather on Saturday, Cape Town's disaster management said.

1. Gale-force W'ly winds (35kts, 65km/h) are expected in places south of Cape Point today (Sunday) reaching strong-gale winds (45kt, 85km/h) along the south coast mainly in the deepsea. 2. Very rough seas with destructive waves in excess of 7m, coinciding with spring high tides, are expected today (Sunday) and tomorrow Monday along the coast of the Western Cape Province.

The craziest weather. I drove out to the farm last night from Stellenbosch, scary as all hell, saw multiple accidents, got detoured as trees had toppled over, and was well relieved to touch base at Osdrift.
A quick walk about this morning to assess the damage…
