Moments - some seem lazy to rush, others fly by, some moments startle and others ease.
A miss South African finalist had me on the awkward back foot - having to drape my arms around her, look natural and affectionate all before I could recall her name - well that be a frightening moment. When she [...]
Look past the pretense and stares - to the fashion trend you’ll need to be in next winter by Jeep Apparel.
The race was both the first for the new chapter and the last for the 09 calender year. Really wanted to do just that, start and end off positively. Placed more emphasis on run leg, a 20km trail run, and was elated at my feel on the climbs, descents, and minimal flats. My leg turnover [...]
Received an email from a friend yesterday requesting an updated post to relieve his ‘hanging by a thread’ - evidently a dghugo.com faithful. So this randomized week’s worth of couped expression may be a little messy, but that would be reflective of the week. And considering this is my second hour at Durban Airport Spur, [...]
Yeah yeah. Grand weekend in simplest of forms - time away with some friends 2.5hours Karoo bound from Stellenbosch, otherside Ceres towards Calvinia, nestled between bright spring flowers and timeless rocks and an overwhelming void of electricity and Vodacom. Priceless silence and peaceful soul time with much laughter to boot.
This is the event I did last Sunday in Natal - where I added a few kilometers to the bike loop… Was a stunning day out though, and nice to be amongst the local crowd again. Good clip.
Plenty more edgy and trendy. I really like the this range from Jeep Apparel. Will be available in stores from March onwards…

Photo’s to reflect the past weekend’s multisport event. Again, all through the lens of the gifted Jon Ivins.
(Racing in the reserve - closest encounter was with warthog’s again)
Received an email from my fairy godmother at Jeep Apparel a few days ago, informing me that one of the Jeep Licencee’s in Taiwan has requested permission to use two of the photo’s from our shoot here earlier this year - and whats more, she reckons we should ask a usage fee, but will leave [...]
Ruth has created some dghugo.com items on Cafe Press. Have a browse. Its been a small yet very fun start to playing with branding ideas. Thanks for the help Lexi.
Some photo’s from the shoot done for the Jeep Apparel winter range in South Africa. Specifically for print media campaign and POS displays. Stunning winter wear, even in 35degree heat and humidity in Natal… A big big cue for me, being a part of their campaign. There are 42 stand alone Jeep Apparel stores in South Africa, as well as many retailers stocking [...]
Such an enjoyed two days at the Gwahumbe Reserve with the most brilliant crew and models in every way. A valid excuse to miss two days of training, sponge off an open bar, lounge around, and shoot the breeze like never before.

A feel of the ad’s going out for the summer range. Really great lifestyle stuff. Jeep Apparel - Live without limits.
A short video clip of the last Jeep Msinsi multisport race at Albert Fall’s in Natal, and a few comments on the upcoming Powerade Triple Challenge on the 3rd November.
In Natal for the final of the Jeep Msinsi Multisport Series at Albert Fall’s tomorrow. 5km paddle, 20km mtb, 5km run. Should be plenty fun, and potentially the final could attract up to 800 entrants of multisport enthusiasts. The series serves as build up for the Powerade Triple Challenge on the 3rd of November.
A small selection from the shoot two weeks ago for Jeep Apparel’s summer range - The sneak peak. Just teasin, and although semi-embarrassing having to endure my face in the middle of it, here is a feel of the new stuff on shelves for the coming summer. As mentioned two weeks back, the range is [...]
Probable new kit, which I’m hoping to have finalised this week:
Jeep Apparel had their summer range shoot over the past two days in Giba Gorge just outide Durban. The look and feel or the new stuff is young, trendy, classy, and going to impact strongly. Excited to see it go out. Be sure to check on it over the next month or two.
(A shot on [...]
