Too much, water n all

Posted on by Dan Hugo

It’s cooking with gas here in Boulder to well beyond 90F most days this week. A dry heat that’s mostly bearable but is taking it sleeping toll. Woke with the droog’ies this morning. Did a spin with one of my housemates on Friday, on a very popular consistent 2% gradient climb up to Jamestown.

It’s quaint and very much a little mountain hideout. But there they had two water reservoirs ready for cyclists. Thats just too mind wrecking for me. Too first world of them.

Courtenay before refilling.

I’m finding my rhythm slowly, but its taken longer than planned. Jet lag, head cold, leg niggle. So as patience decreases readiness nears. Readiness for the next big blog of work building to a crack at Maui late October.

Just iPhone snapshots. Here the ‘town centre’ of a mini general store in a old barnlike shed. It’s one of my favourite rides that, and I’ll go with camera in hand soon. With the stream from Jamestown in full flow at the moment its much like climbing a small alpine road. Like it very much.
