Great start to the 2010 racing schedule with a solid tale told by the body over a bike, run, paddle, bike and run. Surfski and swim stages were canned due to unplayable gusts of wind. Again loved the event, the atmosphere and mixed bunch it pulls together. I was one of 50 individuals and no longer need feel like an idiot for enjoying more of the scenery than most. Was hoping for a little more kick out of the system – but encouraged all the same.
Two out of two.
More tomorrow. Yesterday was full on, and today a family focus. My event is not possible without their support – between two boats, three bikes on the day… So was time to treat them. Specialized camp on tomorrow, unreal opportunity to be included. Best hit bed – recovery is top spot objective till 70.3.

Baie geluk Dan. Oom is baie trots op jou. Ek sien jou met die Hartebeespoort Dam race – bring biki my tyres saam met jou goeters – miskien kan dit jou n bed en kar koop vir die paar dae. Niks so grand soos daai nuwe Fiesta nie – maar nouja….
en as die 2009 Epic in jou pad is – ek het stoorplek in JHB!
