Perhaps I should have had more respect for the Coast. Three weeks back ticking over, and I felt proper jarred. Perhaps I rushed training a bit too, in an attempt to find some form for Xterra SA. Either way, felt real broken, and for a week did near nothing. A week of light training, and I am finally feeling myself again.
Spent a few days on the West Coast with my family and sweetlove over Easter. Consider my swim training venue. Dusk as I am a talented procrastinator. We took the boat across the lagoon to warmer waters at Kraalbaai. A magical swim.
Got a new S-Works hardtail as opposed to an Easter Egg too. Counting on it making some difference at the Xterra this weekend. A sweet ride. Far softer feel than I expected. Excited to race on it. Now just a few days out from Xterra SA. Feeling more rested, but just haven’t done the work. Reckon Conrad will be in a league of his own, such a class act when in shape, which he is. Reckon the rest could be tight. Lieuwe, Iain, Kent, Rowan. Hoping for the miracle day, but at peace with where I’m at. Going to enjoy racing.
