Bike travel is on the dark side list of athlete life. A pet hate of sorts. Somehow the girl at Emirates check-in allowed me 50kg without question or charge this week – charge for which I was braced. It can get ugly in a hurry at check in.
Through the Specialized crew I now roll with an Evoc Bike Bag which has aided convenience a lot as well. Less to dissemble, rolls on stable wheel platform. Seems sturdy and protective. And is not over the weight limit before adding the bike. So all things considered, it was one of the better bike travel weeks.
