Video Clip: Xterra Worlds 2008 on Maui

October 31st, 2008 by Dan Hugo

A short three minute clip of a Sunday morning on Maui. An extraordinary one. Unfortunately the clip does little to show the vicious lava rock, or the brutal heat, nor the big climbs, and long beaches. But it goes a small way to show some atmosphere from the Xterra World Championships of 2008.

Extra’s:

Started the swim way left. Although the gap looks big out the swim, in less than two kilometres of riding, Conrad had dragged us to the front end. Its Eneko Llanos who shaves past as I rack my bike, and Olivier Marceau who leaves just after him.

Fabulous year!! What a brutal race in Maui and you kicked it!! Really, that is making your dream happen, so much to learn from this year and I look forward to watching you have an even more successful season next year. Wishing you the best in SA season. Also thank you for allowing me the opportunity to train with you this year and hopefully I will complete next season to get to Maui.
See you in Temecula or sooner.
    XOXO
