Xterra Alabama Afterparty

June 13th, 2008 by Dan Hugo

We had a great time on Sunday night, with some Pelham locals, attending church with them to give thanks for opportunity and talent, and there after joining some of the Xterra extensions at the Margarita Grill for some celebrations and war stories.

Mexican grub served by an illegal Mexican with a character larger than life seemed most fitting. Along with broken English only sufficient to figure out South Africa, 2010 and football - and all made for some big smiles (with metal).

Xterra here has many personalities, one of which is Will Kelsay. Who took it apon himself to sing happy birthday on the table top to one of the Xterra crew.

We spent the night in a trailor - a luxuary one (Not the trailor trash ones). With aircon and flat screen tv’s, in the Oak Mountain Park so as to be with Craig and his family for the Monday morning venture to Richmond on their RV.

It is travel in style. With power sockets that work, aircon, flush toilet, tv, the whole nine yards.

(The more important admin - my second nap, the first was on the queen-size at the back)

A not so big but equally green Shrek came along for the Evans family outing, with little Haily and even littler Tyler being a part of Craig’s racing. I so admire the way they function around the racing scene as a family. Craig even changed a dyper 25min before the start on Sunday…
